Jay Mohr, who toplined Fox's critically praised comedy "Action" and hosted and executive produced NBC's reality series "Last Comic Standing," has inked a deal with Sony Pictures Television.

Under the terms of the deal, Mohr will create, star in and produce projects for the studio targeted for network TV and cable, through his company, Giraffe Prods.

Mohr co-starred in the comedy feature "Are We There Yet?" His upcoming films include the drama "Jump Shot" and the crime comedy "King's Ransom."
